Surprise Men’s 18+ 3.5 Wins Spring League in Playoff Round
The men’s 18+ 3.5 team, known as the “Problem Children,” secured the spring league championship with an impressive 4-1 victory under the Thursday evening lights at the Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex, facing off against the Finishians from Phoenix Tennis Center.
The Problem Children capped off a great spring season, with a remarkable 11-1 record in the regular season and a flawless 2-0 sweep in the playoffs including a 4-1 win over the Mesa Tennis Center Goats on April 18th.
The team now sets its sights on the District Championships scheduled for Saturday, May 18th at Paseo Racquet Center. Here, they will once again collide with their rivals, the PTC Finishians, in a showdown to determine which team will continue on to Sectional Championships in Albuquerque this August.
The Problem Children team is captained by Keith Buikema and co-captained by Chris Heath.
