Surprise Tennis Club Celebrates USTA Grant & National Tennis Month with Free Doubles Event

The Surprise Tennis Club is proud to announce it has received a USTA Community Grant to support its mission of promoting tennis in the Surprise, Arizona community. To celebrate both the grant and National Tennis Month, the Club hosted a free Wednesday Night Doubles event on May 7, 2025, at the Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex.

The event welcomed 22 participants of all skill levels, bringing players together for a fun and social evening of doubles tennis. Using a unique card draw format, participants were paired with partners who drew the same number, giving everyone a chance to meet and compete with new faces.

“This event was a great way to get people out on the courts and enjoying tennis in a welcoming environment,” said a Club spokesperson. “We’re excited to continue offering these types of events that build community and grow the game.”

The Surprise Tennis Club hosts Wednesday Night Doubles on the first Wednesday of each month in the evening at the Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex. Thanks to the Community Grant, the Club plans to offer more free events in the future to keep engaging the local tennis community.
